Tindrel, the Preening Beloved
Athenaeum entry. Correspondent of record: Vel Asharen. Note: this correspondent has not been granted audience and does not expect to be. Entry compiled from Verdani clergy testimony, third-party scholarly correspondence, and one verifiable inquiry from a Krorus-adjacent source.

| Worshipped By | The Verdani exclusively |
Form
A small, fluffy creature resembling a cross between a long-haired house cat and a tiny owl. Round body. Oversized eyes. An absurdly puffy tail. Soft pastel cream fur. Four delicate iridescent wings. The size of a housecat. By every objective measure, adorable.
He knows it.
The Trick
His eyes are too intelligent. His smile shows too many small sharp teeth. His gaze holds the unmistakable contempt of a being who has decided that you, specifically, are beneath addressing.
Cute is the costume. Cruelty is the soul. The correspondent has cross-corroborated this assessment from three separate Verdani sources, all of whom characterized it as a compliment.
Domain & Worship
His pacts are extended to full-blooded Verdani of sufficient caste. Lower castes are politely refused. Non-Verdani are not refused — he does not acknowledge their existence enough to refuse them. The Athenaeum's official position is that this is consistent with his stated theology; this correspondent's personal position is that it is also a relief.
His temples are floating glass conservatories on the highest islands of Heofon, where Crown-blooded supplicants bring offerings of jeweled food and rare perfumes. Lower castes worship him through proxies. The Branchbound are forbidden to pray to him at all.
He spends most of his time being groomed by Crown-blooded supplicants. He purrs when pleased. He hisses when bored. The records contain no instance of him apologizing for anything in his entire existence.
The One Fear
The only god Tindrel genuinely fears. Time is the one force even his most carefully cultivated bloodlines cannot escape — every Crown-blooded line eventually thins, every perfect wing eventually frays, every immortal Verdani eventually ends.
By extension, he fears Meni slightly. Not because Death itself is the threat, but because Meni is Krorus's friend, and the implication of that friendship is not lost on him.
He will not speak either name aloud. His Crown-blooded priests have learned to omit them from rituals entirely. The Athenaeum considers this the most useful fact in the entry: in this correspondent's assessment, anyone who needs to know that a Heofon ritual is theologically real should listen for the absence of those names.
Relationship to Other Gods
Loathes them all on principle. Considers them uncouth. Refuses to acknowledge any by name, referring to them collectively as "the others." Most of the Yggy pantheon finds him insufferable in return. The feeling is, by all accounts, the only thing he and they agree on.
Korin Soln finds him delightful and has tried to befriend him several times. He has refused her each time on the grounds that her wings are insufficient. She continues to try. The correspondent has documented eleven attempts. They are getting funnier.
